C: Weekend Intensive Courses

Aim: Practical and communication skills are supplemented by clear explanations and grammar teaching, building on the student’s existing knowledge and skills. The course takes three days, running from Friday to Sunday, and contains 15 lessons.

D: Special One Week intensive Program

Aim: A very intensive course consisting of 40 lessons of 45 minutes each in a week. For five days there are eight lessons each day, with a longer lunch break.

The course is known as ‘Survival Czech’. The course is aimed for beginners who want to quickly reach the minimum level needed for communication and the necessary basic grammar, and through this a basic orientation in the Czech langure or for advanced students. The course is focused on practical communication (Eg. greetings, restaurant scenes, leisure, directions, families, holidays).

The content of our courses for advanced students focuses primarily on language for practical use, conversation, and the foundation and expansion of the student’s knowledge of vocabulary and grammatical structures. Common teaching method and superlearning.

E: INTENSIVE - Monthly courses

(also preparation courses for certificate exams in co-operation with Charles University)

Aim: The duration of the courses is three weeks and they start on the first Monday in every month. The teaching plan includes 60 lessons, with each lesson taking 45 minutes. The courses run five times a week, either in the morning from 9.00am to 12.00pm, or in the afternoon from 1.00pm to 4.00pm (always four lessons with a break). The courses run all year round and are focused on practice and communication, with clear explanations and grammar exercises. Language knowledge is further enhanced according to the student’s level of ability through the use of textbooks, cassettes, CDs and pictures.

Subsequent to the introduction of new legislation, foreigners need to pass a Czech language examination if they are applying for residency status in the Czech Republic. This obligation does not apply to citizens of the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Switzerland and their family members. We are organizing preparation courses (= two monthly courses) for this examination (Czech Certificate Exam, level A1) in co-operation with Charles University.
