Aim: Very intensive eight-month courses and specialized courses dedicated to preparing foreign students for studying at Czech universities. The teaching plan includes 4 lessons per day (more than 600 lessons total) in a very small group of students. The small number of students provides individual attention to each student. This course focuses on practice and communication, with clear explanations and grammar exercises. Students interested in studying at a university in the Czech Republic can then sit for an entrance exam (which takes place every year in the first half of June) at the university that they choose, and if admitted, they can start studying the following school year. Those who enroll for other reasons (job etc.) will be able to communicate fluently and efficiently at work and in everyday life.

The course comprises the following subjects:

Grammar (16 lessons per week)
Conversation (2 lessons per week)
Cultural paradigm (1 lesson per week)
Projects or certain vocational subjects (1 lesson per week)

After completion of the language and preparatory studies at CZ Lingua, foreign applicants do the university entry exams together along with the domestic Czech applicants. It may be useful for you to have an advance estimate as to which fields of study carry the higher probability of admission. The results of the statistical probability survey conducted with a sample of foreign applicants (all, not only our students) for last year were as follows: (% probability of success) - Technical and Agricultural Studies : 90%, -Medical and Natural Sciences: 60%, -Economics: 40%, - Humanities: 5%

The number of selected faculties is not restricted, applications are sent in February for a fee of about 1000CZK.

All our participants have the opportunity to take the Czech Language Certificate Exam – CCE (in cooperation with the Charles University) at the end of the course. This Certified Czech Language Exam for Foreigners is based on the European Language Passport. It comprises of reading, listening , written and oral elements. The cost is estimated to be 3,000CZK.

In the Czech Republic, education for foreigners is free (at state Czech Universities).Universities have age restrictions (age more than 18 years) and quantitative quotas. The entrance exams and the studies are quite demanding. The educational system is of a very high academic level, with a rich tradition that has been built over the centuries. The Czech Republic is an EU-member country, such that all diplomas are recognized worldwide. University education in the CR for Bachelor and Masters Programmes guarantee the same conditions for both international and domestic Czech students, i.e. the tuition is free of charge, if all the university study itself is done through the Czech language. (Foreigners who want to study at a college in the Czech Republic in a language other than Czech must pay for their studies from their own resources. For instance, a student pays USD 10,000 per year for study at the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University in Prague to study in foreign language. Study in a foreign language at the Philosophical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno costs USD 3,500 per year)
